If there’s a record for number of tissues used during a wedding day, I imagine that Payton and John would be in the running. These two were married last April in Washington, D.C. on the campus of St. Alban’s School, and it was truly a joy-filled day. The first time I visited St. Alban’s I was absolutely smitten with the architecture, and became immediately jealous of the students who get to study there, so it’s always a treat to travel to the school to create images for my awesome couples. After preparations, Payton and John had an emotional first look in the courtyard behind the school. After that we walked over to the Bishop’s Garden for portraits, followed by a gorgeous ceremony in the Little Chapel. After that, we worked our way inside where the Rollex Band was ready to get the party started. Many thanks to Mario Braithwaite for being my awesome second photographer for the day, and the Melissa Larocque of Twin Lights Wedding Planning for the flawless event planning.
